title whilst protecting the owners freehold title. Both trustees are members
of the Organisation for Timeshare in Europe, OTE. Trustees are essential for
long term peace of mind for you and your heirs.
How long is forever?
For the original timeshares formed under English, Welsh or Manx law the term
of perpetuity is 80 years and most clubs have it written in their
constitution that the club will continue for a further period of perpetuity
unless the majority of owners vote to disband the club.
The newer resorts under Spanish law are the same but the duration is
normally 50 years. There are some regions where the norm is a much shorter
term, such as Malta, where the ownerships run for shorter rotating terms.
